Iran doubts Obama can bring change
Iran says US President-elect Barack Obama has yet to prove that he can live up to world expectations when he moves into the White House. "We have yet to see whether Obama's campaign promise to bring change was plausible or mere tactics to win the presidential race," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi on Wednesday. "Like the rest of the world, we are awaiting the 'historic change' Obama has promised to bring to Washington," he continued. Qashqavi added that the situation between Tehran and Washington is extremely sensitive and will thus take time to resolve.
